Troubleshooting
Here are some common problems and possible solutions:Problem: Healcrafter will not load correctly or crashes.
Solution 1: Make sure you have Microsofts .NET framework version 2.0 or newer installed. You can download it using windows update or from a link on the download page.
Solution 2: Make sure all files provided in the HealCrafter download are placed in the same directory as the executable.
Problem: HealCrafter responds with an error when accessing the armory.
Solution 1: Use a web browser to find your character on the armory at http://www.wowarmory.com If your character will not load properly in your web browser, you will have to wait until the armory is more stable or your character has updated.
Solution 2: Try again. Sometimes, the armory responds slowly to HealCrafter and HealCrafter times out before the armory is ready. I am trying to figure out how to increase the timeout. Until then, please keep trying until it works. If you are good at developing web applications in C# (or .NET) and you are willing to help out, I would be very happy to take suggestions. Problem: HealCrafters results don't match the armory.
Solution 1: HealCrafter does not calculate using buffs but the armory does. It is not necessary for your HealCrafter character to match armory, but if you want it to, you can log out of World of Warcraft without any buffs and wait for the armory website to reflect those changes.
Solution 2: You are using a meta gem. I have made assumptions about the equivalent effect of some meta gems and add that to your stats. For example, if the gems says "Chance to Restore Mana on Spellcast", HealCrafter translates that as a certain MP5 that I defined in the gems.xml file. You can modify the gem in the gems.xml file to do whatever you want if you don't agree with the values I used. You can also add a new custom gem that reflects what you think the MP5 should be for different situations. (See Tutorial->Customize Gems)
Solution 3: If Healcrafter found gems on your gear that it did not recognize, it will give you an error message. You can either add the gem to the gems.xml file or give me the information from the error message, and your character name/realm, and I will add the gem to HealCrafter permanently. (See Tutorial->Customize Gems)
Solution 4: The armory doesn't seem to show mana oil on your weapon but the MP5 numbers on armory do reflect the fact that you have mana oil applied. Either wait until the mana oil drops off your character and log out or enable the mana oil in Healcrafter. (coming soon)
Solution 5: There could possibly be a bug in HealCrafter. If you are fairly certain there is a bug, report it using the "Contact" tab.
